Trader Principle:

The ethical principle that states we should offer value for value with other people.

This principle is opposed to the views that we should use force to gain from others, or to manipulate or trick others, or to pressure them, or to bully them. The trader principle rejects all of this and suggests that by offering our best values in exchange for theirs, we not only both benefit, but we have earned the values we gain, and we can take pride in those actions.

The Trade Principle applies to both the material realm and the spiritual realm. When we seek romantic relationships, we should look to offer our best in exchange for their best, looking for a mutually beneficial relationship. We should be looking to earn our friendships, instead of just taking advantage of them. In all of our interactions, we should seek to earn our benefits by exchanging value for value.
